From the outset, Colin was clear about what was required and offered some excellent design ideas to help maximise the space. As with any construction project, there were a few inevitable teething issues along the way, but Gary was always quick to respond and came to site promptly whenever needed to resolve them—even on bank holidays. Any communication challenges we experienced were generally with subcontractors rather than the Rooftop team themselves, who were consistently professional, polite, and helpful. Sally and Hayley in the office were excellent throughout the project, keeping everything organised and ensuring matters were followed up efficiently. Overall, I would happily recommend Rooftop Rooms. It was a big, ambitious project that involved removing the whole roof, lifting the gables on each side and creating 3 x huge dormas at the back, and 2 x dormas in the front. They employ all their own tradesmen, who are the nicest builders we have ever met. Most of the employees were still with them from the last time we used them 8 years ago to do our loft conversion in Whetstone, which just show that the company is run by nice people. They are trustworthy and keep their promises. Gary and Colin, the two owners, just does not let you down and are always there to ensure that we were happy. They go out of their way to keep everything on track, and communication was outstanding throughout the 9 month project. Yes, things can go wrong, but they just on it straight away and sort it out - no questions asked and no quibbles. We cannot recommend them highly enough.Amazing service and quality of work. The whole process from quote through to completion was well managed, workmanship was top level and undertaken in a timely manner. RTRs converted our loft into a new bedroom, shower room, storage room. They also constructed some in-built wardrobes for us. At the start we worked with RTRs in house designer to agree upon our layout and continued to refine our requirements up until they started on site. All "extras" outside of the base quotation were discussed and costed before we made our final decision whether to proceed or not. After an initial delay on the start date, which was a worry at the time, they have run to schedule; we are at the snagging stage 10 weeks after building works began. Our main contacts have been Hayley in the office and Gary as project manager. Hayley has been very helpful and Gary obviously has many years experience in loft conversions and is calm, professional and reassuring. Gary also suggested some beneficial changes to the plans which we would not have thought of. The trades teams all ran to time, the dormer structure was built in a few days and the plaster boarding, plastering all followed directly after that. The workers on site have all been polite and helpful. Communication with RTR has been good, whether I'm phoning or emailing the office, or calling or texting Gary, I have always received a prompt response. RTR also organised some additional work we needed doing on the property, which was completed seamlessly alongside the loft project. We used RTR on the recommendation of a work colleague who was very pleased with them. They weren't the cheapest quote we sourced but we felt they were a safe choice. We also liked the fact they had a price list of commonly requested extras and provided a budget planner to customers; although on one or two smaller things we have felt that the costs could have been absorbed within the existing work. The loft and en suite look fantastic, we can’t wait to start using the space. We would use RTR again ourselves and would recommend them to friends.Rooftop Rooms transformed my loft into a beautiful, bright and spacious bedroom and bathroom, which are now the loveliest rooms in my house. They advised me on the size/type of windows, so that I now have spectacular views on both sides. The tradespeople involved were proficient, polite and considerate.
